CASE STUDY
New Bailey – Salford C2
Project description: Salford C2 is a large‑scale, mixed‑use development delivered in a prominent city‑centre location. The 23-storey building will deliver 198 new homes in a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
Project features: BTS supplied CWCT-tested Vantage DF (Discreet Fix) rainscreen panels for this façade package, using two contrasting finishes: RAL 6008 textured dark green (6,800 m²) and Interpon Class 2 Y2217F Steel Bronze metallic Matt (3,200 m²). The RAL 6008 (Brown Green) panels were installed in both portrait and landscape formats at floor-slab levels, while the Y2217F panels were set in portrait to break up the darker areas across the elevation.
Vantage DF®️ was chosen to complement the colour scheme used on the neighbouring Salford New Bailey C1, helping C2 blend seamlessly while still appearing fresh. Installation was completed from mast climbers across four elevations, phased by elevation and floor bands up to level 23.
There was a full Visual Mock‑Up (VMU) on site, which was instrumental to ensure sign-off by project consultants and clients, before full manufacture commenced.
Overall the completed façade delivers a robust, contemporary appearance that meets both aesthetic and performance requirements, demonstrating the value of early engagement, technical coordination and strong installer–supplier relationships.
