CASE STUDY

Teesside University BIOS, Middlesbrough

Project description: Located on the vibrant Teesside University campus is the state-of the-art BIOS facility. Teesside University’s School of Health & Life Sciences has around 10,000 students on a wide range of courses, with many coming from the local area.

Project features and challenges: BIOS involved 1000m2 of Aluminium expanded mesh featuring the Athens profile and was finished in RAL 7016 PPC. In contrast to previous site assembled mesh projects, here BTS fabricated bespoke channels to surround the mesh. This fully engineered system utilised Nvelope’s NVF2F box rail and SFS Intec fixings.
